WORKPLACEMENT AND EMPLOYABILITY REPORT FOR 2017-2018
BACKGROUND OF THE REPORT
A large number of extracurricular activities have taken place throughout the academic year of 2017-18 to augment learning and teaching opportunities available to our students. The College organises a variety of workshops and field trips to support our students gaining practical knowledge and skills. These workshops and field trips support the College by allowing students, many of whom have had challenged academic backgrounds to learning relevant, interesting and engaging content. They are also a requirement dictated to us by London Metropolitan University for their degree courses taught here at Nelson College.
This report identifies and discusses various workshops, field trips, events and competitions along with the employer’s forum organised by the College. This report is an explanation of the knowledge’s and skills the learners have gained and the impact this will have on their employability and professional skills. The report aims to reflect on how well the extracurricular activities have been carried out, not only this also what lessons can be learned to make future improvements.
